Vida Verde AgroForestry
Vida Verde Agroforestry creates agroforest (mixing agriculture with forestry) projects which combine earth friendly reforestation with lucrative produce from trees and plants such as teak, avocado, stevia, etc.
While reforestation already benefits the land and local populations, using agroforestry techniques to blend deep, medium and shallow rooted plants is natures way to ensure proper nutrient recycling.
Agroforestry, while benefiting the land, also is financially beneficial to our clients who purchase parcels of the agroforests. Teak is one of the world’s most expensive hardwoods, while avocados are becoming more and more valuable as a health centric food every year.
Vida Verde also uses eco-sensible irrigation systems, natural fertilization and pest control, and produces employment for the local villagers where very few other economic opportunities exist.
